RIVERSTONE ORGANIC FARM

WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS

We shut down temporarily to quarantine ourselves after exposure to an individual who later tested positive for COVID-19.  All staff members tested negative and after a period of 14 days without symptoms, we reopened for business.  Our Farm Store is back to our normal schedule: open daily from 9am to 7pm.  Our CSA is back to its normal schedule, pre-orders are available and we are selling at the Blacksburg and Floyd Farmer’s Markets.

We are so grateful for your support and understanding as we navigated the safest path forward during this unprecedented situation.  Please reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Best wishes from Tiffany, Alex and the Riverstone Team

About Our Farm

Situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd County, Virginia. Riverstone Organic Farm is blessed with fertile, flat river bottom land, which is unusual for this area. The farm has been in cultivation for over a century, maybe more. The solid brick farmhouse on the property was built early in the twentieth century, and three generations of farmers have lived there and farmed the land. Now the location is again an active working farm, and additional land has been rented from two immediate neighbors to support the growth of an organic vegetable farm and pasture-raised meat operation.

Our river bottom land is perfect for organic vegetable production. Our vegetables and berries are all certified organic and handled using Good Agricultural Practices.

We make sure our animals get nothing but the purest food and live in a landscape free of fertilizers, pesticides, or GMOs. Our meat is free of antibiotics or added hormones.

Our products are artisan made in small batches in our certified kitchen. We use our own recipes, developed to take full advantage the Riverstone Organic Farm harvests.
